How Can I be Physically Active While Watching TV?

Sometimes T.V. watching is a necessity. Not to worry! There are plenty of choices for you to be physically active while watching TV:

  • Jog in place or stretch
  • Do sit ups or push ups as you watch T.V.
  • Make an exercise game out of your favorite show. For example, when you are watching your favorite show, every time a character's name is mentioned, do 10 jumping jacks.
  • Sit up instead of lie on the sofa.
  • Pedal on your stationary bicycle
  • Throw away your remote control.
  • Get up off the couch and get yourself a drink of water
  • Lift your dreaded legs.
